Hellebore Query

This is probably obvious, but please can someone confirm - if Hellebore leaves have dark stems, are the flowers dark coloured?

    Possibly AnniD. Not much of an answer I know but in the case of the two below then yes but I checked my ones that have light and dark colours on the flowers and the stems are green near the leaf and dark and speckled lower down. 
    The dark stem below is Anna's Red

    Not something I've ever really noticed.
    I grow a very dark purple, and the stems are plain green. The ones which have seeded and crossed a bit, and are lighter purple, look similar, and the white ones I have are just the same, although the nigers are a bit dark and speckled. 
    I wouldn't like to judge a potential colour by it though  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
