Plant ID - I haven't a Scooby Doo!!

Hello
This plant was decimated by slugs last year, so I potted it up and moved it to safer ground. Its now recovered but I have no clue what it is! Thanks

No it hasnt flowered yet if it does. It got eaten to near death last year, so I potted it and moved it and it has recovered so far. I would have bought it at a garden centre....

I don't think it's variegated ground elder because that has serrated leaves. Could it be Vinca, (periwinkle)? Slugs do eat it.

I don't think it's Vinca (periwinkle) @Busy-Lizzie , none of mine have leaves that look like that.
Perhaps @Silver surfer can help ?

It is definitely not.....Aegopodium podagraria,..common name ground elder .
The leaves are very different..see pic below.
The one on the tarmac is to try and show clearly one single leaf .
Those leaflets are in 3 groups of 3 leaflets...to make a total of 9.

Vinca major....common name Periwinkle does have opposite leaves with smooth edges.
On very short stalks.
Mystery plant leaves appear to be stalkless.

Vinca the terminal leaf is not normally like the mystery plant .
Mystery plant has a single terminal leaf.
While Vinca normally has new shoots in pairs.
So I do not believe that is the perfect match either.
