I'm so angry, upset and disappointed for OH. He arranged to go back to Norfolk for his operation, which was then cancelled for the 5th time. Then they made an appointment to see the surgeon tomorrow so OH said it wasn't a wasted trip after all. Now they have cancelled that appointment and made another for the 20th September D He could have stayed in France with me and we would have gone back together on the 17th August for our friend's big birthday party. I am beginning to despair that he will ever have his hip replacement. His right leg is now really skinny and shorter than the other and he's in pain a lot of the time.

Oh @Busy-Lizzie that is just unbelievable. How can this happen time and again? Surely when someone is badly affected with their mobility and in continuous pain, something should be done/could be done. You must be feeling so angry and upset, and how must your poor hubby be feeling. Sending hugs to you both.

    Evening all.

Sorry to hear that your husband has had another disappointing delay @Busy-Lizzie. Did they give a reason/apology?

I hope everyone is doing ok. @Hostafan1 - does your husband’s care team ever meet with you and ask how YOU are? So many people on here thinking of you and what you are going through.

One of life’s little pleasures is walking barefoot on the patio after a warm day and watering the pots, but I’m sure I was out watering in the light about 9pm a month ago and now it’s bat city at 9pm (so that’s me indoors).

    Night folks.

Oh goodness @Busy-Lizzie, that is such bad news, I can't quite believe it. Perhaps you should now think about contacting your MP and possibly your local paper - nothing like a bit of bad press to concentrate minds. I think your OH should also make a formal complaint to the Hospital/Trust concerned. Hugs to you both.

    Hugs also to Hostafan1.

We've decided we need another house number sign as delivery people seem to be having difficulty finding us. I've had a stand alone aluminium number post made but because we've got a ditch to one side, think we'll have to attach it to a wooden post and concrete that in the ground so it's higher and more easily seen. I've dug the hole and started to varnish the post with another coat to do tomorrow.

Thank you @AnnaB, @AuntyRach and @Lizzie27. The reason is unforeseen circumstances. The hospital said someone would ring back to explain after OH rang them but no one has rung.

The local MP is Liz Truss. I don't think it's a good time for her.

Pixel investigating a box that Hubby dumped on the living room floor. 🙄

I assume he plans to but it instead of putting it on the compost.

    Hi all

heavy rain here which is great, I can wallow in my pit without feeling guilty.
Sorry about your husbands op. @Busy-Lizzie, something has gone very wrong. Worth contacting the local Health Watch and seeing if they can help.
