    Right folks ... I've picked runner beans and cucumbers ... I've also frozen two meals worth of beans and still have plenty to take to MIL.  These beans are bonkers.  Now OH is loading the car so we'll be off in a minute or three.  I'll be keeping an eye on you all via my phone from a snug stone cottage in John Clare country ... have fun and be prepared to vacate my favourite spot on the sofa when I return ... ((hugs)) to you all, especially @Hostafan1 xx

    Have a good time @Dovefromabove.

    I've spent the morning pruning low branches off the 2 big old apple trees in the veg garden area. It was getting impossible to drive the tractor mower under them. A lot of apples were knocked off in the hail storm, actually there weren't really a lot because of the late frost. One of the trees was growing new blossom! Smells of spring, lovely.

    I'm going to Leroy Merlin this afternoon, a huge DIY place about half an hour away. I want a small shelving unit and 3 wall lights for the landing. One is on the blink and the other two are ugly, made of pottery that hardly lets any light through.

    Hi folks,  Lovely day here, blue sky with fluffy clouds and a light breeze.  Popped to Ashwoods this morning and bought a couple of plants for the shade area I cleared yesterdy.  Will be going out to plant them after a cuppa.
    Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit rough today @punkdoc
    @Dovefromabove enjoy your little trip
    Hugs to those that need them.

    That's quite a surprising sentence. I'd have been very puzzled had I not noticed the capitalisation.

    Sorry you're feeling crook, @punkdoc. Hope it eases off soon.

    Enjoy your hols, Dove.

    Our NDNs are getting married next weekend, the reception's in a marquee in their garden, which means it's not too far for us to stagger home on the plus side but a lot of vans coming and going which is making the dog a real pain in the proverbial today. Especially as OH is on site so I'm having to keep dropping out of zoom meetings to deal with the barking nutter hiding scared under my desk.
