drowsy bees on my hollyhocks

This evening I noticed two motionless bees with their heads buried in my hollyhock flowers (double pink type). I thought they were dead so I tried poking one of them with a stick, then realised that it's not dead just very drowsy. Wondering why? and if there's anything I can do to help them? Probably too late for this pair but next time...

They like a nap as much as anyone. I often find bees asleep on large dahlia heads and yarrow and upside down inside foxglove trumpets. I like that they take advantage of the B&B services.  I my mason bee nest boxes, I often notice that bees go inside just for a snooze - no nest building going on.
