Hand Weeders

I have been reading the review of hand weeders in the recent Gardenersworld.com newsletter. However, I am not sure which one (if any) would be suitable for weeding between paving slabs. Any recommendations please?

An old cheese knife works a treat.

A hoof pick does a good job, too.

Not many of them about here @Posy but then not many of us have much  proper use for a cheese knife up here either😉

Any old kitchen knife would probably do the job.

@B3 Your post put a smile on my face this morning. Whether it was meant to or not I don't know but it did.  :):)

  • The nilfisk weed tool is pretty good. Great for dandelions, if you hit it right it pulls the whole root out perfectly. It’s ok at daisies too. You walk around without bending too much and drop the weed into a bucket, releasing them with a pump action shotgun motion.
