I hear good things about grafted aubergine plants. They can fruit very early and heavily. There are some links above.

Interesting, thanks for that. We've been so lucky with everything this year, but wasn't expecting anything of those. We'd left them outside as a sacrifice to God's of green and white fly and they just took care of themselves! 😁

Cor I might just leave Wee Uff outside to God's of green and white fly and they might take him. Wonder if it would work with slugs and snails too. Now there's a swap worth making.
