    I take it you know the breed,  Pete.😁 I think they are quite sporting, the way they wait for them to take flight before giving chase, given that they can't fly themselves.

    Yes, my previous dog was a Border collie - amazing breed and never run out of energy.
    I now have a collie x retriever. If a fly comes into the house it has very little chance of leaving. She catches it in her mouth, rolls it around a bit, spits it out then tortures it to death! Bless

    Lovely. :D One of my brothers has a collie/ retriever cross... gorgeous animal, most enraged by sparrows though!
