Anyone know what is wrong with this plant?

It is a clematis I think, I planted it  last year but it did not grow.  I was suprised when it grew this year.  However it has not flowered and is far from healthy. I have watered it every day (maybe too much) I have fed it and it continues to grow but the leaves look unhealthy. Any help much appreciated

It looks like a clematis to me as well, possibly in need of a feed but l'm not sure.
I'm certain someone can give better advice  :)

If you have been watering every day and feeding regularly there may be a build-up of salts in the compost.
It's much better to give the plant a really thorough soak when needed. When you soak it make sure you see LOTS of water coming out of the bottom of the pot.
This will help flush the compost of unused salts that may well be causing the problems.
I can't see if the pot is on pot feet (or something similar), but it should be to ensure good drainage.
I's suggest giving it a really thorough soak - something like 10 gallons of water - that will flush out the compost.

Is it getting enough sunshine ? They do like a bit of warm sun on their leaves

Thanks for all your replies, I have been watering every day so will stop that now and just give really good soak. It is East facing and gets sun till about 2pm. I could move it though if it would be better facing West. I cant remember exact date I last fed it but will start to write it down I think. Thanks for your help, will wait and see if it improves
