Tree ID please
Saw this tree in Canterbury. I want to say that it's a wild cherry tree but I'm not sure. It has cherry tree style bark and the nodes of the leaf stems.
Leaves are significantly serrated. New leaves are long becoming ovate. It doesn't have the tree shape that I associate with cherry trees. The leaves cluster off nodes on the branch.
Any ideas, or am I over thinking this?
