Dierama dracomontanum - a smaller version of dierama. I wasn't sure if it is still alive, it has grass-like leaves and it was planted too close to other plants (I underestimated the spreading potential of parahebe). But it's flowering now. + parahebe 'Snow Clouds', scabious 'Butterfly Blue' Stipas look good right now, unfortunately the left one was flattened by my cat or one of her visiting friends. + phlox (not yet flowering), unknown dianthus/carnation, geranium 'Azure Rush'
..lovely gardens above, with plants that do well in drought, just what I need right now..
.. that's a really nice Stachys..
Still bone dry here, like dust, and I'm due a prolonged 2 week heat wave starting tomorrow.. Lythrum 'Dropmore Purple'.. ..various Phlox.. Anthemis 'E.C. Buxton'.. Petrorhagia 'Pink Starlets'.. Geranium pratense.. / Veronica 'Marietta'.. Thalictrum rochebrunianum... Geranium 'Russell Prichard's'.. cut back and tidied up a bit.. Hemerocallis 'Claudine' which is new..
..this rather lovely wild Hollyhock opened today.. the plant is about 6 feet tall and full of buds.. Alcea nudiflora... a native of Afghanistan and further east ..
@Loxley Just wanted to say how much I love your photo of Stachys Hummelo. It is a masterclass in how to use leaf shape and texture, also shows that green alone can create impact. Thank you for sharing.

Stachys "Hummelo" in bud. I like how it stands out against the Sesleria grass
