How my lavender turned out

OtherChrisOtherChris Posts: 20
Hello,

I posted a few months back asking for advice on lavender to plant along the edge of our beds. As recommended we went for Hidcote plants - 110 in total. Here's how it looks now they're established and in flower.

Thanks to all here who made suggestions, it was a great help for us.

    Looks superb. Well done.

Might just be the angle of the pic but they look very close together? They grow pretty big but tend to not grow as well if they're right up against another plant. From the picture it looks like you could have saved a bit of money and spread them out more. But like I say, may just be the angle. Does look lovely right now though.

Well done OtherChris, they look super and I'll bet on a warm evening they smell sublime.

Thank you. We planted them 30cm apart in April but they've grown together really fast.

You can always trim them back hard in spring, they look lovely  - it all does! Apart from the scent, I can imagine hearing the lovely hum of bees as you walk up the path. 😊

Did you get the end of the bed sorted out in the end ?

Thank you! Hah, no, the end of the bed is still "one of those things to do when I've got a moment...". Several people recommended Campanula and I'll probably go for those but I may have left it a bit late for this year..
