Standard Roses... any favourites?
I would like to add a standard rose (probably just one, but possibly two) to my garden next year, just for the oh là là factor really.
If you have one you love and which still looks great after 3 or 4 years, could you please let me know the variety? (Not a weeping standard, though. Got one, love it, but I will succumb to old age before it reaches its full potential.)
I have been thinking about David Austin's Jubilee Celebration for its gorgeous scent and colour, but hesitating as I've never seen a pic of one in standard form and perhaps there's a reason for that.
Thank you!

'Harlow Carr' looks awesome as a standard.
Generally, something very fragrant would be best, to enjoy the blooms where they can be smelled easily. For this reason, I wouldn't mind having my favourite 'Amazing Day' as a standard... Styles sells it as a standard too. Many other good options available there - 'Blue for You', 'Chandos Beauty', 'Ebb Tide', 'Minerva' with its fabulous colour and should be healthier as a standard than it is as a shrub.
I recently visited a friend with a two year old standard Arthur Bell, which I haven't thought of a such, but it looked lovely.
Purple, if I didn't have Arthur Bell already, I'd get that for sure. I can just picture how stunning his clusters would look.
Edhelka, that was my thinking with JC, but you have given pause to think with Amazing Day. I'm stunned by every bloom on mine, each so unique, and they last forever. I didn't know Styles offered it as a standard...🤯
