My Verbena bonariensis has gone from 6 inches to 6 feet in just 7 weeks and to be honest I wasn't expecting such a big plant, it's a foot taller than the fence.
I hope mine are as happy as yours @Sheps; they were a free packet of seeds, from premier seeds direct, and aren't quite seedlings yet! 😂 What have you been feeding them on?
There is one that grows to a lower height (sorry, it’s name escapes me, it’s “something verbena bonariensis”, just can’t remember the “something” bit .Looks the same, but a smaller version, though I have to say, yours looks magnificent.
V. bonariensis can certainly get quite sizeable in the right site. Verbena rigida is shorter. It isn't a bonariensis though. Different habit. There's one called V. bon. 'Lollipop' which is shorter. That might be what you're thinking of @Red maple
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Sheps What a lovely problem to have. Although my front garden is small I love the height they give. Good to use if you want to view other plants beyond. Great at the front of a border for that reason.

@Red maple I have the lollipop variety on the other side of the garden.
