Already I'm planning a border under my front room window, at the moment it's a bed of bark to edge the front lawn. I've been busy concentrating all my efforts on the back garden this year, but looking forward to what I can grow next year at the front.  I'd love to grow tall and bushy cottagey perennials there.

A couple of plants I won't be growing under any window, and they are dahlias and chrysanthemums. I once grew a border of these beauties under the kitchen window, they 'thanked' me by encouraging hoards of earwigs that infested my kitchen, the sugar bowl was alive!
Trying to be the person my dog thinks I am!

    Cambridgeshire/Norfolk border.

Oh dear!! I'm so sorry Jenny but that did make me laugh! It's not funny when it's your sugar bowl though.
I remember finding an entire ants nest walking up our hall and back when I was a teenager, it took me ages to discover a melted sweet in my school bag! My mom would have killed them, and I had to save them, lol!

I lived in a bungalow with two borders under windows. The biggest problem was what to grow because every plant grew at angle away from the wall which I found annoying.
Looking forward to my new garden with clay soil here in South Notts.

Gardening is so exciting I wet my plants.
