Hosts problem?

Calling all Hosta fans. Am advice on why this didn’t discolouration is hopping? Thanks for looking

    Haha sorry I didn’t check the auto correct when I sent his load of nonsense! 

    Don’t know if the leaves are meant to look like this or hosta is lacking sthing. New leaves don’t have it.

    Any advice appreciated

    I'm afraid it's Hosta HVX Virus . 
    You need to destroy it  
    Don't plant Hostas in the same ground and sterilise any tools you use

    oh no! Will that spread to the ones it’s next to?? It’s in a big pot.

    it's transmitted in the soil. 
    I'd still get rid of it, even although it's in a pot.

    Btw Thanks for advice. Can it go to the composting skip at dump?
    I’ll check others hosta’s tomorrow 🤞

    I'd not send it to the composting dump. It might end up in someone else's garden.

    Thank you for that Hostafan1, I've never heard of that virus despite me growing them for years. I shall be checking mine more often now.
