Is this a weed?

Might be called Luzula Sylvatica. Keeps popping up in a fairly dry, partially shaded, West facing border. I've never left it long enough to see if it flowers as it seems a bit thuggish. Anyone know it? Thanks

    Looks like sedge, though I'm happy to be corrected. If so, it does tend to grow fast into big, tough clumps - you can keep it small by pulling the excess out, and definitely pull the seed heads because it's very easy to grow, and it will. 
    You could make a therapy patch of it, it's very satisfying when you get a big clump out. 😄
  • Thanks @Slow-worm, my plant id app is throwing up too many options, but sedge was one of them. I like the sound of a therapy patch!
