What's wrong with my cucumber plants?

Hi all,

Amy idea what's wrong with my cucumber plants? I've posted a picture of one the leaves. I've taken them off one of the plants but the new leaves coming are stunted and get crispy around the edges. No flowers are coming either.

Is it spider mite or some kind of disease?

Thanks!

Have they been in the full sun they may be sun damaged.
  • Yes they are ina greenhouse where I keep the door open in hot weather. Do you think I should shade them?

They do need alot of light/heat to do well. Mine always go that way in the greenhouse, but the plants never seem to suffer from it. I too cut off the worse offenders. Lack of top growth could well be lack of watering, but if not that then its the fluctuating temperatures we are having now, the poor plants don't know what season it is, and too hot can halt growth/ripening in cucumbers and tomatoes.

Mine get a few leaves like that too each year - usually only the lower leaves.
My guess is that it's slugs/snails having a go but the leaves are not very slug/snail friendly so they soon move on.
