Will this self seed? Geranium blue blood

CopperdogCopperdog Posts: 547
Geranium blue blood looks like it has seed heads but I’m positive it dosent as there are never any little plantlets. Do I just divide it in autumn to make more plants? Also it I cut to ground now will it come back? Thankyou

Any named cultivar won't seed true even if it makes seeds.

I would say propagate by division is the best way to do it, either in Autumn or Spring. I don't know how long you'd have to wait for seedlings if l'm honest.
If it's finished flowering you can shear it over and give it a good drink. It should only take a couple of weeks before fresh growth appears and possibly some more flowers.

As above just cut it down and it’ll return very soon

@Copperdog Not sure if this will work but if there are some none flowering stems when you shear it could you try cuttings?
