Can anyone identify this ivy please

Can anyone identify this ivy vine please. I have it growing outdoors, all year round, in pots. I can't remember where I bought it and never kept the label.
I'm looking to source more but can't find anything like it online.
You guys are my last resort, thanks in advance, Shell

I would have a go at cuttings. Use gloves maybe slow to get going but should strike easily.

@shellipoostFs1K1i0 Sorry welcome. If I can think of it's name I will be back. I am sure someone will know.

  • Thanks, I have never grown cuttings, if it comes to it I may have to have a go.
Its a cracking wee trailing plant for foliage and didn't bat an eyelid at a Scottish winter.
I'm really annoyed I never kept the label.

@shellipoostFs1K1i0 There are so many different ivies you could take a look at Hedera pastuchovii.

Ivy is perfectly hardy here, and in most places @shellipoostFs1K1i0, even in proper winters  :)
You can peg bits down that are already spreading, and looking to root, then separate them from the parent plant once they root.
If you look for bits that are trying to spread, you can stick a pot nearby to do it - a piece of wire will do for securing them. It's easier when they're in the ground though  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

These guys are ivy specialists - perhaps they can help you?

Looking through their catalogue could it be hedera helix artropurpurea? Congesta? It doesn't look like it from Google image search, but they look similar on the fibrex site
  • Thanks folks, I will have a look at both. I might try the pot suggestion as it I think its a lovely wee plant. Do I just U wire tendrils into the pot and let it do its thing...would multi purpose compost suffice?. Thanks again 👍
