This was in the garden yesterday. Could someone please tell me what it is. I take it, its not something to worry about.

It looks like some kind of ichneumon wasp to me, although I couldn't tell you which species. They parasitise moth larvae. So they're a fascinating part of your garden's ecology.

Maybe Diphyus quadripunctorius. Or maybe his second cousin.
