Ideas for 'gap' between patio & lawn

Hi, I recently had my patio extended but as per the pic there is now a gap and slight drop between the end of the patio & lawn.

The depth of the drop isn't consistent due to the level of the grass as can be seen at the far end of the picture but am looking for ideas to neaten this gap up and perhaps create a better looking transition between the patio and lawn.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Many Thanks

I think I'd use either a single or double row of appropriately coloured bricks laid so that the top of the brick is the same level as the soil your grass is in, otherwise mowing is going to be tricky.
That's what I done around parts of my lawn. Between the bricks and the lawn I dug a small trench about 2-3" deep and wide so I can edge the lawn neatly.

Would you consider creating a border there and planting it up?  I have a similar situation alongside my patio - I wanted plants in front of it to add colour to the view from indoors and make the patio more private when seated.  Grass mowing is also easier with a border.
