Red legged partridge visit

We had a lovely visit today from what we think was a young male red legged partridge.  It took its time eating seeds from forget me nots that have gone over and not been weeded out yet.

Was lovely to see up close.

It was a shady area of the garden so tried to photo but just too dark.

Was surprised to see it feeding on FMN seeds but judging by the spread (FMN is a weed here) it might explain how they've escaped the boundaries of my garden?
