If this is to be the new style forum, what are your views on it from the point of view of legibility and “user friendliness”?

I hate it. I can only read the slim line text with difficulty and the black text on bright green sends my eyes crazy.

I have no strong views on the matter. I’ll learn to live with it.

For myself, I haven't a strong opinion but I can see no advantage to members with reasonably good eyesight and serious problems for people who have difficulty reading some types of text.
I don't particularly like the colour and the heading font doesn't look right but I'll learn to live with it.

I'm wondering whether this might be an interim "refresh", with other changes still in development.  Have you noticed that when you type a post it appears in the old typeface then gets converted to the less legible typeface when you post it?  This suggests more work might be planned?  (We can but hope!)

I thought I'd pressed something I shouldn't have. It's really quite garish to me.
I don't hate it, but I'm finding it very bright, so I may have to darken the screen or something instead.  :/
I'm not sure why there was a need to change it, but that's how it is.
You need another option for me @pansyface ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

It won’t let me edit it to add a fourth option. 🙄

There's nothing wrong with my reading vision but I find the text extremely irritating to read now.

Spindly faint print,   I can’t see the numbers of posts on the green.
Obviously want to bring the site upmarket,  in line with other gaudy social media sites,
exept most of us are older and don’t care about garish colours on forums.
We have two choices,  use it or don’t use it,  I don't use it much anyway these days so it doesn’t really apply to me.
Can people on phones see it?

I don't really like it and it's harder to read, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Well - I don't really HATE it as such but I definitely think it's a step backwards rather than forwards.

I would like to see better definition around the posted 'boxes' - there is insufficient difference between the desktop colour and the background of the boxes.

I am blessed with decent eyesight and can read the new font / typeface ok but it is less clear. I can certainly see why anyone with eyesight problems would have issues - the text seems to be fainter / thinner.

I've completed this in bold in the hope that @pansyface will find my response easier to read. I remember the shenanigans last time they changed the typeface etc and hope the powers that be haven't forgotten that they said  they wanted the forum to be as inclusive as possible.

That means keeping the text comfortably legible for as many people as possible

Edited to add: and for some reason it's not shown my vote...

    😂

Thank you, Topbird. Your vote is in the post, if you’ll excuse the pun.
