Raspberry failure?

Hi everyone,     Two years ago I planted bare root canes of Joan j. and Polka.  Last year I had a juicy and prolific crop of fruit.  I cut down the canes after fruiting as advised and this year there is no sign of any of the canes re-appearing.  I'm so disappointed and I'm wondering where I have gone wrong?  The ground is well drained and was mulched with manure in early spring.

Did you just cut down the canes that had fruit on them last year,  they make new ones, those you leave.

Polka is Autumn fruiting so it was correct to cut down all canes after fruiting … I do it in Feb but that makes no difference.

Have they had plenty of water? Raspberries can be very very thirsty and we had Avery dry doting.

Ah, yes autumn fruiting starts new growth in the Spring,   Should have started by now if still alive.
