Leaf blowers

Hi all,
I am undertaking an engineering project and needed to collect some information regarding leaf blowers. What is your opinion on them?

  1. Are they too noisy
  2. Are they too expensive
  3. Are they too destructive
  4. do they use too much fule- especially with petrol prices increasing
It would be valuable information to gather, and if you have any other problems regarding leaf blowers please input

many thanks
Will

    Hi @wkynastongvq_d5rVx , you seem to have several threads going, all with the same or similar questions. You might like to identify which one you want people to answer, and put a post on each of the others to say that you're finished with it.

    @Hostafan1
    Keep an eye on the 'Worst gardening injury/fail' thread. I'm sure something will come up on there shortly!

    If you're in the market for a Blower, the likelihood is you'll already have a power mower of some sort which, on most surfaces except gravel, will pick up fallen leaves as it mows.  Depending on area involved, there's every chance the heap of 'blown' leaves will be scattered before they're collected and disposed of, so why buy a semi-efficient second machine when you've got a perfectly adequate one already?  QED.
