@TheGreenMan All is not lost wash roots really well as the eggs are soil colour. Take lots of cuttings they will root really soon.
Looking forward to my new garden with clay soil here in South Notts.

Gardening is so exciting I wet my plants.

I have ONE left. It’s gritted and isn’t loose. Let’s see if it’s still here this time next year

I have just gone through the remains of my Saxifrage collection. Most of them are rootless. I ave given up growing almost anything in pots. Planted the remains out in the garden to live or die as they choose.

Grit has done the trick for me for the last few years. I’d forgotten about that one as it was in a part of the garden I rarely go to.

I lost all of the heuchera I planted in the garden too. Saxifraga are a new addition this year. I have little hope of them surviving. I’ve unknowingly moved to a weevil hotspot.

Us too. The previous owners grew Fuchsias and so fed the dratted things.
Having said that, the Auriculas and Saxes I planted out because I got fed up of the bugs, seem to have mostly survived.
