    Hello @christine_livsey and welcome to the forum :)

    Tomatoes don't need feeding until the first truss is showing little fruits.  :)

    Ah ... that's useful to know, I have just been wondering when to feed them. I assume you can use comfrey tea?

    Or just tomato food will do. The compost should have enough goodness in it to last six weeks, so that usually is about the time small fruits appear. Regular watering is more important at this time than feeding. Hope this helps @christine_livsey and @ShepherdsBarn

    Yes, any feed high in potash is what they need to encourage the production of fruit.

    Watch the watering tho - over doing it can lead to a reduction in flavour.

    I wait until mine are looking just about on the wilting side before I water @philippasmith2. A little stress is good for them, but it's important to water in a consistent way - not soaking them every day one week and doing the opposite the next.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
