And bees love them too. Great plants for late summer. I had them in pots in Belgium so I could take them under cover for winter but here they stay out all year.

I put them in my flower bed in late March last year. Then we had a May filled with frosts. They started popping up in July and finally flowered at the end of August. Apart from a single freesia, they were the only survivors from a big mixed pack of Wilko bulbs. I left them in over winter as I wanted to try something new but they’ve survived (an usually mild) winter here in Bedfordshire and are growing again.
