Before I rip these up as weeds (my wife is the gardener and is now visually impaired) can anyone identify these please?


  • I’m getting ready to be shot down but here goes: 

    1.  Pretty sure it’s a weed, no idea what it’s called.
    2.  Hardy geranium.
    3.  Left: ? garlic mustard.  Right: Don’t know but it’s pretty. 
    4.  Again pretty sure it’s a weed as above, out it comes!

    I’m waiting to be corrected! 🥴 I need Monty’s help ………

    Photo 1 is Campanula Poscharskyana
    Photo 2 some type of hardy Geranium
    Photo 3 Garlic Mustard, Alliaria Petiolata
    Photo 4 not sure, need a closer shot of the leaves.

    I think 4 is a one of the willowherbs  - so a weed
    Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
    Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

    I agree with Borderline and I also think that 4 is a willowherb.

    I would keep the first two and dig up the last two.

    Picture 3 - also looks like an allium and a peony in the background.

    Thank you all for the posts. I think the Garlic mustard was probably from a pack of meadow seeds and yes, there is a peony and allium in pic 3.
