That's what a plant ID app said, but I thought it was Hydrangea Paniculata. The flowers have a strong smell and appeared around mid-April.

    Too early for Hydrangea paniculata.

    I agree, Lilac.
He calls her the chocolate girl
Cause he thinks she melts when he touches her
She knows she's the chocolate girl
Cause she's broken up and swallowed
And wrapped in bits of silver

I agree as well. Hydrangea flowers don't have a scent anyway, or at least I can't smell anything from them  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
