Tomatoes - Sweet Millions

I read somewhere recently that if growing cherry tomatoes, there is no need to pinch out the side shoots. Is this correct, please?

    No - it depends on the variety. Sweet Millions get pinched out.  :)
    I expect if you had room to let them wander, it wouldn't matter so much.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Depends on the variety.  Some yes, some no.  I have not grown Sweet Millions but one cherry tom I grew and let the side shoots grow resulted in pea size tomatoes!  I won't do that again with that one.
    Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
