    Difficult to tell from quite a fuzzy photo, but l'll have a guess at Weigela  :)

    Thanks for the confirmations.  Most of the Florida types seem to have variegated leaves, but this doesn't.  Anybody on here pin it down?

    It might be straight Weigela florida...  but it's very hard to tell.  There are lots of cultivars with green leaves; if you google "weigela florida" images you might be able to get a match...

    I did wonder if there was a little varigation on one of the leaves in photo three? It is a mature plant is it possible that it has reverted?

    Could it be Kolkwitzia?  Is the bark a bit peely looking?
