A couple of photos from today: Have to say they do not immediately make me think 'Centre of Germany' - to me the building almost looks like somewhere in Sth Carolina or New Orleans.

It's actually Bad Pyrmont - a Georgian era spa town and still very much a medical / therapy destination.

Today has been very warm and sunny and we're now at Heisen on the river Weser (the river's about 25m from the van). It's very tranquil and we had a lovely sunset.

Tomorrow we might go up to Hamelin ( rats and Pied Piper) which is about 20 miles away.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Rubee I love delphiniums, beautiful.  LB sounds like you’ve had a busy day potting and you’ll look forward to seeing these wonders grow.  Busy very sad for you to see a tennis court where your garden was once.  It’s not always good to go back.  I did that once and things had changed radically.  Yvie I hope your rescued plants will do well.  .  Hazel glad your archway has arrived.  Have a restful evening all.  My rug arrived and it’s beautiful, just rolled in opposite direction and laid flat.  Alfie approves.  I’ve put two dishes of food out for him should he finish one bowl whilst I’m sleeping.  I’ve put a fleece throw on the dining table when not in use(Alfie’s c mas present from Rubee) and Alfie loves sitting up there sprawled out.  My sofa cover has been posted from America.  Sleep well Lily and oh.  Night night everyone.
  • P.s. LB I also watched Beechgrove and Gardeners World.

    Hello everyone.
Hazel, enjoy getting your new arch put up today.
RosieBB, your new rug sounds great. Weren't those two programmes last night lovely? I really enjoyed them.
T'Bird. Thanks so much for the wonderful views. I can see what you mean about the 'colonial' look of the buildings in your first picture and the bottom one reminded me very much of towns in southern France - especially with the long avenue of trees. If you get to Hamelin today, avoid any pipers!

    Morning everyone,
Very wet outside, must have rained during the night. Sun is shining at the moment though, looks like it's going to be a nice day.
Lovely photos @Topbird I agree it looks like it could be Sth Carolina and the 2nd one reminds me of France too. Sounds like you're having a lovely holiday. Enjoy today too.
@debs64 have a good day helping fiance at the wedding. Hope you have a lovely week off from work.
@Ladybird4 are you going to play in the garden today or are you seeing handy brother. Hope he's enjoying his new home.

Good morning Ruby. I am hoping for more gardening today but it is not looking brilliant here just now. Everywhere is soaking wet after the rain yesterday and I've just noticed it is raining again! Boo!

Morning SGL, you weren't there when I posted. I am hoping to garden today. Rain has stopped and sun is trying hard to break through. I've just ordered myself a new stainless steel compost scoop as I manage to break my cheap plastic one yesterday with all my planting activities It should arrive next Tuesday or Wednesday. I can manage until then.
