Anyone know what this is? Some kind of fly, obvs, but not one I've ever seen before. Sorry pics aren't great.

I can't see that well enough I'm afraid.
Is that it on the edge of the pot?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Tricky with the blurry pics, first one an orange bodied fly maybe?

. Looks like it was the first one. Quite fat round the abdomen. It was the same in both pics, I'm just not good with a camera 😊
