New found shrub ID please
I've just pruned back a lonicera nitida that was huge and found this underneath it. Can anyone ID it for me please? I haven't got a clue, when I first spotted it I thought it was willow but pretty certain it isn't now that it's uncovered.

JennyJ Choisya ternata leaves have one stalk and 3 leaflets.
My pic below is Choisya ternata Sundance.
Mystery plant has simple leaves.
Daphne is a good suggestion.
Looking a good match for Daphne laureola...leaf shape and veins.
British Columbia for one.
On internet anyone can add stuff....can be written by anyone ..world wide.
never heard of it being a problem in UK.
