    Back to lunch then, a nice low carb Mediterranean quiche and salad better than roast beef and Yorkshire pud eh Dove  :'(

    This new building is made of wood and straw and the beams inside are pegged together. No info board as yet but would guess that apprentices have been involved because the Trust at DH is an education centre too. Horticulture, stone masons, art, farming, cookery etc. A lot of the projects on the estate have been funded by various philanthropists who I would think are pleased to be involved with the highly successful venture. 

    Re the spoiler alert, see the lamp in the new building.

    Serious now....
    Thanks for this thread @Uff, I've enjoyed the photos and info. 
    It's not a million miles from where I am, and I always prefer going north when I can, so I will aim to visit Dumfries House before long.

    I recommend that you do Woodgreen, you won't be disappointed.

    Queen Elizabeth's Garden next which includes a wonderful veg garden.
