My neighbour has flowers like this right now all over a tree.  Anyone recognise it and can identify?  Yes, that is a wine glass stem purely for sizing you understand! 😶

@Cloggie Is it scented and is the flower colour in the photo correct. I was thinking a viburnham but flowers would be white? The leaf would be the best clue to what it might be.

Multi stemmed and a leaf.  The owner says its white when it comes out and we don't detect a scent - I got a second opinion cause I'm full on hayfever today and struggle with scents anyway.

    Field maple probably.

Could be Viburnum opulus (Guelder Rose).  See if this matches:

    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

I think not quite the native Guelder Rose. More Viburnum opulus roseum (formerly V.o 'Sterile') the Snowball tree. The native Viburnum opulus has flatter flowers and follows up with berries.

Thanks Nut, I know you're near me so what's grown here might be grown where you are.  Neighbour inherited it.

I think they're pretty good tempered. I prefer those that have follow up berries but the Snowball tree is quite impressive in flower
