Here's the trunk of my dawn redwood, planted in 1996, and not as 'clean' as in @Silver surfer's photo, but so full of character, ( and moss....) I love the autumn colour, here it turns a cinnamon shade before dropping the needles. A favourite, for sentimental reasons, but also for its shape, colour and the fascinating story of its 'discovery' in China.
wow thank you @silversurfer and @Woodgreen that is the tree. I was sort of thinking I would try and get a small one and keep it in a big pot.. didn’t realise it was such a big tree! Not very practical for a 30’ x 40” garden! Love yours
