Is this normal for a azalea 🌺

Guys is this normal for a this to happen it’s like half the plant is dying or something like that should I cut the brown stalks back to the root or leave them

    It looks like it is very dehydrated.
    Do you water it?

    Hi does it I’ve been away for a few days i waterd it before I went away but has been quite warm. Here in Essex. Is it dead now I hope not can it be saved ??

    I have a few, and have been watering them once a week as the spring has been very dry up here.
    You should clear all the grass away from it to about a 2ft radius at least. Azaleas have roots that are just below the surface, so competition from grass and weeds won't help it.
    I would give it a good soak and see if it helps.

    I did just notice it’s got green aphids on the plant as well I’ll give it a washing up liquid soak as well
