It’s hard to get the size, but if that’s a full sized primula leaf at the bottom of the frame, then they’re far too large to be violets.

They look very familiar … the ribs at the backs of the leaves remind me of Hedge Bindweed … but that has a large white flower …

How big does it get and what time of year do the flowers appear?

Looks like celandine leaves to me, but there are lots of leaves that look similar.

It’s defo not celandine, that’s a small primula. Gets about foot tall but white flowers on taller stems. Yes looks like a violet but I know it isn’t that! Hm might have to wait til flowering which I think was early summer. Thanks for replying.

The leaves look like wild Ginger, but it doesn't have white flowers.

Are those leaves pointy or rounded, I wonder if it’s something in the buckwheat family, from a bird feeder....

Yeah they do a bit. Beginning to doubt my memory of flowers, we’re defo white but those leaves look so like violet, hmm will post again when flowers appear. There’s another plant popped up too that wasn’t there last yr.
