Unknown plant???

Hi everyone ๐Ÿ‘‹
Would someone kindly let me know what plant this is please??
Itโ€™s putting on a wonderful display in our front garden at the moment, but Iโ€™m getting loads of friends asking me what it is, so I need your help! Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Šย
Iโ€™d also like to know whenโ€™s the best time to prune it too please

Some sort of Broom by the look of it

A very impressive plant!ย  I think it's a Coronilla, probably glauca. Lots of info here:ย ย Coronilla - Growing Guide - Burncoose Nurseries
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.
  • Thanks everyone! I now have something to go on ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰

It's not Coronilla. Agree it's some type of Broom, possibly Genista 'Porlock'.
  • Hey Borderline, that looks more like it actually ๐Ÿ‘
Yep, I think I agree that thatโ€™s it, although I can see the resemblance to Coronilla which Plantminded thought it was. Thanks again, and also to everyone who offered their suggestion ๐Ÿ‘
    Have a good evening ๐Ÿ˜Š
  • I saw a genista at the gc today and it looks exactly the same.ย
  • Thank you thevictorian - thatโ€™s definitely what we have! Itโ€™s looking fantastic at the moment; full of bees too ๐Ÿ yay! ๐Ÿฅณ

They have lovely arching growth - it would be a pity to spoil that by pruning so go easy.ย  Also, pruning hard may well kill it.ย  You can give it a light trim, not into the old wood, when it's finished flowering if it's getting too big.ย ย  :)

  • Thank you Liriodendron, Iโ€™ll keep that in mind ๐Ÿ‘
