Wollemi Pine leaf browning.
in Plants
Hello.
I was given a Wollemi Pine about 4 months ago. It was doing well up until recently.
The leaves have started to brown at the tips and I am unsure what to do.
I have been watering it regularly (about twice a week) and the soil is quite moist at the bottom half of the pot.

It gets full morning sun until about 1pm and it is in shade for the rest of the day.
Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Thanks.

They are always expensive...presently over £90.00 .
All are grown under licence and the profits go back to Oz to help protect this very rare tree...critically endangered ... one of just 80 trees, when it was originally discovered in 1994 by David Noble a park ranger.
It has a fascinating story.
The site is kept a secret and protected from anyone going there in case they take in pathogens or new diseases that might kill it.

Agree with fidgetbones trees are never happy kept in pots.
Remember this tree comes from Australia.
All the ones that i have seen in botanical/private gardens have been planted in VERY sheltered positions.
