Plum Tree

I'm having problems with pigeons seeming to eat the blossom on my plum tree, is this a normal thing?

Yes 😡 and the leaves on my amelanchier too 😡 and on most cherry trees around here as well 😡

Round here it’s bullfinches. Mr Bullfinch and Mrs Bullfinch. They sit in my plum trees and just pull the flowers and buds off for fun.

Next week it will be the pear trees and after that the apples.
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
  •  The main certain approach to shielding weak plants from pigeons is to develop them under netting or in a natural product confine. ... Frightening gadgets or repellent substances are probably going to give, best case scenario, just transitory assurance.

Yes the pigeons go for the leaves on our plums, cherries and gages. They don't go for the apples or pears.
We have tried different methods to stop them but thankfully the leaves on the trees do get back to normal.
