Is parsley really help with weight loss?

I've been growing parsley for a long time. Some people say that it also helps in weight loss. So use it for this purpose. I was thinking of making tea and drinking it every afternoon or night before going to bed. How can this be?

According to a Gardeners World episode from 2017 I watched the other day, it's actually supposed to increase appetite.  The lady recommended using it for the sick and elderly with no appetite, to mix it in fresh with a bit of scrambled eggs or soup.  It increases digestive juices and appetite, according to her.

I can’t see my OH being too pleased to be lying in bed next to me with the smell of parsley on my breath.

Don’t know about weight loss, it could be trialled as a contraceptive. Especially when little green bits get stuck between your teeth.

Neither parsley nor lemon, on their own or combined, can help with weight loss, other than as part of a calorie controlled diet and exercise regime.

If you are struggling to lose weight when on a calorie controlled diet you should see your doctor.
