I’m really not sure. It’ll have to continue growing and then we’ll see. I’d be happy with either but I don’t think carrots grow well for me. Soil is too clay heavy.

It reminds me of a weed called Conopodium majus...common name Pig nut.
But I would not expect to find in in a veg plot.

I've just sown a load of them in my veg garden! hoping to get something I can transplant to more suitable spots

Well well...I am amazed!
I cannot imagine they would transplanted with any success.
Please report back later with any results...good or bad!
The tuber/roots are tiny.

That’s really interesting @Silver surfer, it does look like it could be pignut. I haven’t sown these so where could they’ve come from? I’ll have to see what the flower looks like to be sure. The garden never ceases to amaze me.

Pignut grows wild all over my garden. Flower is just a small umbellifer, but pretty. Badgers like the tubers.
