    Here are some pots at the front of my house (north-facing and in shade) - newly potted up, so fingers crossed. Hosta Francee, and Heucheras Marmalade and Timeless Night:

    @Pianoplayer That looks very good. I love heucheras, great choices. I have Timeless Treasure which is my favourite for cut flowers.

    @Fire mine is Scabiosa columaria and I reckon it would be pretty happy in a 30cm pot. It gets to maybe 30cm in height and flowered nonstop last year right into November (and I'm in Scotland!). Not sure if there are pink or white versions but I can definitely recommend it as a compact scabious.
