Brrr! We don’t often get a wind straight from the north here, but the sleet is rattling on the landing window … and that faces due north ….

  • Morning @Dovefromabove

'Daffy snow' here too, although it had an icy crust on it when I was scraping the car window to get Charlie to school.  :open_mouth:

Charlie has gone in with his formal application to the new school, he had to have three recommendations by teachers and the principal and I was very proud to see what glowing recommendations they were too. Entrance exam, interview and Brevit to get through now.... poor lad, it's a lot of pressure when you're only fourteen. He is quietly confident, although a bi worried about the interview. I am sure they all will be though.

Off to volunteer at a Coffee Morning this morning, don't ask how I managed to get myself into that.... all in a good cause.

Catch up later, have a good day all.

Well done Charlie … fingers very crossed for him 🤞

The temperature is rising a bit here thank goodness … I need a trip out to the farm shop later this morning … when I’ve written my list … ☕️

Good April morning to you both @Dovefromabove and @D0rdogne_Damsel  and good afternoon @Pat E   I think you change the clocks this weekend - making things easier for communication with my friends and family.

Cruel wind today - 3°C on the weather station but the wind makes the temperature drop.

Cruel times for you in the UK with the cost of living rise.  It's incredible!!  As I mentioned yesterday, there is a bun fight for flour, pasta and sunflower oil - all incoming from the Ukraine or thereabouts.  Of course, if you put that out on the news, then there is a beeline for those products, whether you need them of not!!  Anyway, when I went to do a monthly shop end February, I noticed that things had gone up considerably by around 30% !!

Despite the wind, a walk down to the local market and if it's more sheltered down there, a quiet coffee in the ...sun !!  My egg lady should be there - they again will be going up what with the price of wheat.   Sheesh!!

    Stay safe, stay warm.

If you’re travelling over the bridge this morning @WonkyWomble you’d better check first … it was closed an hour ago due to an accident!

Happy April to everyone,  no snow on the Daffs here but the shed roof is very white. I  hope that wind drops.
