Morning all - nice spring picture LB.

Ante - so sorry to hear about poor Max - hope he makes a speedy recovery. Horrible person not to stop after the incident.

A much lazier start to the day and at the moment it's dry, bright, not too cold (although that is all forecast to change this evening). OH is making the most of it and has just set off to m/bike over to lovely Oban. Love the west coast but I shan't be joining him - can't face the 200 mile round trip after driving nearly 600 miles over the last 2 days.

I'm heading off up the scenic route to The House of Bruar - a very large, slightly upmarket shop with lots of different departments including an excellent restaurant and foodhall. Hoping to find a few birthday presents and some nice seafood for supper. May treat us to something from the patisserie as well.😋

Then back via a wander in Pitlochry (think your hotel is still there Rubee!) and home for a swim, sauna and a session with the puzzle books or paints. Round trip of less than 30 miles - much more relaxing.

Hope you all have a good day.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Beautiful picture @Ladybird4
Back from GC  didn't have the same clematis so I swapped it for a Montana Maylene. Another pretty pink one. It was a couple of pounds dearer, but they said I didn't have to pay the difference.  Will put it in the garden after I've had my lunch.
Hope you manage to find one @Songbird-1
Sounds like a lovely day @Topbird hope you find some goodies in the shops for yourself. Enjoy the swim and sauna this evening.

Ante so sorry to hear about Max, some people are so careless.  I can empathise as it happened to me.  Im so glad he doesn’t need an operation but 10 days rest.  I’m sure he’ll get lots of hugs in the interim.   Hazel it’s good you had such a variety to choose from.  It’s rather cold here too, need a big coat on and layers.  Chive good to hear Nel is well.  Alfie’s had his treats so he’s just about forgiven me for going out.  Lily enjoy your Montana Maylene and choosing a place to put it.  They had some lovely two tone hydrangeas in the supermarket but when I recently arrived back from shopping they’d all gone.  My grandma on dads side always had a hydrangea.  Top bird enjoy the hot box it will be very relaxing after your swim.  Just having a cup of tea and watching Alfie have a wander.  LB thank you for starting a new thread it looks very spring like.  Col TT has improved.

@Songbird-1 sorry you couldn't find a Nelly Moser, but im sure the new one you've chosen will be just as pretty.  I didn't get to plant mine this afternoon as it started to rain. I'll hopefully plant it tomorrow. Its flowers from late spring through the summer.
@bluebellsintherain I'm going to plant it where the one that died is.
This afternoon I ordered  a couple of roses from DA. One is a climber....James Galway and the other is Eustacia Vye. I had a voucher for 15% off.

Good evening everyone. I hope that you have all had good days. There has been intermittent rain here. When I got to the GC this morning - supposedly to buy compost - two lovely plants leapt into my trolley. One was a Primula Oak Leaf Yellow Picotee and the other was a Polemonium Heaven Scent. I did get the compost as well though!
I called the blind people and they will be at handy brother's bungalow between 12:00 and 14:00. I will take my knitting with me.
I am signing out for today. See you all tomorow.

@Ladybird4 when you talk about the blind people it makes me think of that joke “ nun having a shower , knock on the door, “ can I come in it’s the blind man? “ Nun thinks there is no harm in it, Man walks in” Alright darling move out of the way I need to fit this blind!”

    🤭🤭 @debs64 it's a long time since I've heard that one 😂

There used to be a 'blind' man 😉 that lived round the corner from us  Debs
  • Hazel it’s quite incredible how extensive and strong some roots are and I’m not surprised you needed ohs help.  I remember ending up on the ground before today pulling roots.   LB I hope you don’t have too long a wait tomorrow.  I hope handy brothers enjoying his break away.   Chive I’ve put some casual trousers on today to protect my knees as I’ve been very well kneeded recently.  Lily I think the forecast could be getting snow so not sure it’s gardening weather tomorrow.
