Rambling rose leafs

Hi all would be grateful for any advise regarding my rambling rose. Majority of leafs look well but have young ones coming through looking a bit discoloured and unwell. Have aphids on rose but not in great numbers. Don’t know if it could be weather damage? Any advise would be appreciated. It’s an Albertine rambling rose

Well I can't see much wrong with those, nothing there I would be concerned about.  Have you had some cold nights? can cause discolouration, maybe a touch of chlorosis but really you shouldn't be bothered by what you see.. and don't worry about aphids, they do little damage to a rose like 'Albertine'..

Thanks very much for you reply. We have had some cold morning and are due more. The leafs seem to be doing well and changing from the red to green colours. Should I protect the rose against the frost or is abertine ok with potential frost? I suppose any leaves lost will reshoot with warmer weather.

No, there's no need to protect.  You would need prolonged temps worse than -5C to do any damage...   Albertine has been around for a long time, it's well used to the weather here, and flowers in gardens even in the north of Scotland every year..
